Task four: Consumerism and its effect on happiness (Economics and C.Engineering students only)

Is consumerism killing us?

This is a question which was researched by Dr: Anna Leybina.  During her searching studies, she found what stimulates us to become addicted consumers and how to prevent or give up this bad habit. I mean to avoid becoming a shopaholic.  She gave us some scientific answers to the effects that are produced in our human brains before and after buying something.

  1. This video is important because it invites us to consider the following. Humans share a great motor mechanism, there is an evolution debauchery, using a excessive option. Researchers say that it is a gene that produces that effect on some people convirtiendolasen impulsive buying, do an analysis, which compared to humans with monkeys in saying they are waiting for something bone looking after waiting ballas desire to give them something, ie humans are waiting for the next thing that comes on the market to be the first to buy, to travel to beautiful places or exotic or waiting for the latest model of car to purchase, knowing that we do not need , a lot does not mean harmonization of happiness.

  2. Consumerism and its effect on happiness.

Consumerism in humans. Today they are trying to accumulate assets and so they want to cover their happiness . They can be considered non-essential . Because the economic system is one that promotes competitive acquisition of wealth as a sign of status and prestige of the United Nations within a social group .
Precisely . People prefer to buy things that catches their attention. They buy in places , which at first glance people shop for basic needs .
In fact , people spend money on things that do not matter . Therefore eccesivos accumulation property. but note that the physical presence should also be paramount. Health care is just what is needed. especially to improve our health.
Finally a person who invests large sums of money to build things , not logical to budget and this can alter their financial commitments.

True happiness is not found only in material things but in the feelings of a person that works for a person to have a lot of things if you really can not be happy, so one must fly to reach their dreams and taking what you want but always reaching happiness.

  10. Our happiness depends in our consumerism level? When we have a rutinare life, we are unhappy. The typical consumerism mistake is buy all new in the market because it just gives us a moment of happiness and then the happiness is gone; the words "I want" move nerves in the brain and it causes a stimulation or a reason to be not unhappy. An advice to be happy is spend less in material thing and invest more in experience, or buy something to someone. It is the best way to do not become in a shopaholic. To be happy we don't need to buy everything.

  14. Consumerism and its effect with happiness ie to consume all that is available to us does not mean to be happy within a imvestigacion tell us that humans share a mechanism somewhat confused with the evolution and debauchery
which makes the consumption stage itself causes errors to acquire or purchase imvertir a value vistosde such approaches.
act with grace and efficiency enough help to take deciciones and not a purchase that lasts a month and then it is happiness in unhappiness comvierta
to conclude with consumerism and its effect on happiness can give some suggestions as to buy when you really want another is to buy if you really like and ultimately no matter the amount of money but rather you feel better and only wish to experience.

  16. Consumerism and its effect on happiness.
Many people can have a lot of money, they can buy anything they want, but they are not happy with their purchases
there are two different worlds, one is where the vendors sell all products and the other is the consumer's purchasing power,
all we share an evolutionary mechanism that is related to the country's economic system, however credit cards allow faster make purchases of all that we want to buy, in conclusion you have to spend on things that in realy need, and not so much in material things and you choose cheaper options, with optimum resources, feeling happy with your purchases

  21. It is very imporant to analyze our needs and how we can solve them, before making a purchase, because if we do have serious problems and impulsive we become impulsive buyers, prioritizing our wants or luxuries such as a new car without having to need them but by luxury. researchers are clearing the various hypothesis because we are impulsive buyers. in my opinion we need to prioritize our needs and so become masproductivos in our environment such as society

  22. The human nature of most people is that they don't know who really want In fact the life of people is routine. However the consumerism affects happiness particularity to those wealthy individuals they think they are happy just buying things! Grave mistake! Additionally there are people who choose to spend on things cheaper when the most important is not all we have or spend. In conclusion the true happiness it’s not about the material things, it's about being humble, generous, etc

  28. Consumerism will not always be the happiness of a person as a person does not buy because they actually need it but because it is their dependence and does so without also do not always a person will feel happy because when you think solomente buy and buy things should trabajr for this to be possible, but stay away from the reality of life and lose many incredible things especially if to reach its goal of having material things makes you feel happy that you will do will be simply a fictitious consumer happiness and finally the idea is not that we have to buy anything but what we really need and will be very productive to use.
